Phoenix Recap…The NNS made its second and final stop of the 2014 season last weekend at Phoenix International Raceway for the DAV.. Kwasniewski and his No. 31 Rockstar Energy Drink/ F.O.E. team looked to finish strong and leave the desert on a high note at the one-mile oval. After two up-and-down practice sessions on Friday afternoon, Kwasniewski went out on Saturday morning and laid down a time good enough to claim the 14th starting position for Saturday afternoon’s 200-lap dash. After going a lap down due to a pass-thru penalty on lap nine, Kwasniewski earned his lap back during the middle portion of the race, crossing the finish line in the 15th position.
Dylan Kwasniewski on racing at Homestead-Miami: "I’m really looking forward to getting back to the track and making my first start at Homestead this weekend. This is the last chance of the season for us to bring home a solid finish, and my team and I have worked really hard all week to prepare. In looking at film, Homestead looks like a very fast mutli-groove track that allows for some two, and sometimes three-wide racing. I’m looking forward to practice on Friday, learning my way around the track and coming home with a good finish to end the season on Saturday.”
One Last Shot…Kyle Larson and the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) will make their final stop of 2014 this weekend for the season’s grand finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. With just one previous NNS start at the mile-and-a-half track, Larson hopes that competing in all three series will help him land up front when the checkered flag waves.
What a Season…Larson and the No. 42 Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) team head to the final race of the 2014 season with two victories (Auto Club Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway), one pole, 13 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes in just 27 starts. Larson led 245 laps this season while behind the wheel of the No. 42 car.

Previous Race Recap…In his fourth-career NNS start at Phoenix International Raceway, Larson and the No. 42 team fought hard to find speed around the mile-long oval. With a solid car on long runs, Larson managed to work his way up to as high as second position, but struggled to gain momentum throughout the various short runs. Despite their efforts, Larson continued to battle handling until the checkered flag waved, ultimately crossing the finish line in 13th position.

Kyle Larson on Racing at Homestead-Miami Speedway: “This is our final shot at getting another win and I’m determined to end this season on a high note. We’ve really struggled the past few weeks. Homestead is my favorite track on the circuit; it was pretty much made for my style of driving. I can’t thank Target, Cartwheel and all of our sponsors enough for their support in the Nationwide Series this season. Also, a big thanks to Harry Scott and everyone at Turner Scott Motorsports for their hard work all year. It’s definitely had its ups and downs, but overall, I think the double duty has really helped me improve as a driver and for that, I’m really appreciative.”
